SAM REMIX ROCKS THE SEATTLE ART MUSEUM DOWNTOWN FRIDAY JUNE 4, 8 PM – MIDNIGHT

KEXP DJs, t-shirt factory, rare Warhol television shows,
pop culture fashion show, Gay Pride-themed performances, unorthodox art tours and much more
fill the museum until midnight.

First 100 people wearing wigs get in free.

SEATTLE, May 13, 2010 – SAM Remix returns on June 4, bringing art, music and more to every corner of the Seattle Art Museum (SAM). As always, this late-night event features Seattle’s hottest DJ’s, films, performances, activities, My Favorite Things Tours and more. Remix takes place from 8 pm-midnight at SAM, 1300 First Avenue in Downtown Seattle. Up-to-date information can be found on the museum’s website at www.seattleartmuseum.org.

The current exhibitions Kurt and love fear pleasure lust pain glamour death – Andy Warhol Media Works are the jumping off points for many of the Remix events, which include celebrations of fame – old, new fleeting, and enduring – from a pop culture fashion show and a special presentation by Fashion Designer and Project Runway Season 7 winner Seth Aaron Henderson, to a chance to create your own silkscreen t-shirts in the Remix Factory.

THE LAST SAM REMIX SOLD OUT QUICKLY. Advance ticket purchase is highly encouraged.

Purchase tickets online at seattleartmuseum.org/secure/events/remix.asp.

Tickets may also be purchased at the Ticketing Desk at any of SAM's three sites or over the phone with a credit card by calling the Box Office at 206.654.3121. Prices are $10 (Adults), $8 (Students with ID and seniors) and $5 (SAM Members). This event is open to guests age 18 and over only. In a nod to Andy Warhol and his often-changing persona, the first 100 guests at the door wearing WIGS will get in FREE.
